I took on a new challenge in my crafting journey this last week and decided to put together a quilt. I am a very inexperienced seamstress all things considered, but I think it came out really nicely. I used a pattern from the Moda Bake Shop called the Snuggly Layer Cake Throw. I wanted to make it for my daughter so the theme is toddler focused. I also used several You Tube videos to learn how to do some of the steps (basting the layers, sewing the ditch, binding the quilt). It took me one week total. I've learned a lot and can't wait to make my next quilt. :)

Mobile for my daughter
I designed this mobile for over my daughters bed this week. It is made of a variety of beads, fishing line, glass and silver pendants, satin ribbon and wooden heart shapes. I painted the hearts, wrapped a clothes hanger in the ribbon and strung the beads...

Bathroom curtain
Tonight's project was to put up a privacy curtain in our downstairs bathroom. This basic curtain took 2 hours to put together. It is lined with a cream fabric.

Crocheted hat with rose
My latest project, this took only 4 hours to make. The pattern I was following was for a much smaller weight yarn. The body of the hat became too wide so I closed it down creating the mushroom effect. The end result was better than the original design. I'm practicing flowers right now so there will be more to come!

Crocheted red dress
This project was a real challenge for me. I had to learn to read a pattern. It was not perfect in the end, and I had to add a flounce at the bottom to make it long enough, but it is just great for her. It's too wide for her, so I will have to add a flounce when she grows more. The design was from Bernat.
